These large CNC Surfacing bits are designed to resurface your workpiece or CNC spoilboard. The bit has a straight cut and extended life through the use of replaceable carbide inserts.

Straight cut for re-surfacing MDF, particle board or balsa core spoilboards. Replaceable carbide inserts save both time and money and will not pivot on the cutter when in use

  • Spoilboard Cutters with removable inserts can be cheaper to use over the long haul than brazed inserts.  With the latter, you have to replace the whole cutter when the inserts get dull.  With removable inserts, you just replace the inserts.  You may even be able to rotate them to expose new edges.  Typically, new inserts cost less than a whole new cutter.
  • Size Matters.  Specifically, larger diameter cutters can get the surfacing job done faster, but they’ll need higher horsepower spindles to operate.  Don’t choose a Spoilboard Cutter that’s too aggressive for your CNC Router.  Smaller machines should stick to smaller diameter cutters.
