Collection: Dovetail And V Groove Bits - American Made Tooling with double the lifespan, significantly increasing your production

Dovetail bits come in an array of cutting angles—usually 7-14°—and heights (see photo, above), on both 12 " and 14 " shanks. Generally speaking, the greater the cutting angle, the stronger the joint. But beware: The acute angles on the tails make them more fragile as the cutting angle increases, and they can break more easily along the grain.

Because of its opposing-wedge action, a properly fitted dovetail joint self-tightens. This means you can use it to eliminate fasteners, such as screws or nails. You should still glue the joint, but you won't need clamps.

V-groove router bits are commonly used in sign-making, cabinetry, and decorative woodworking projects. They're also great for engraving lettering, creating patterns, and adding decorative touches to furniture and other wood surfaces.

V-groove router bits offer a wide range of possibilities for carving and engraving intricate designs on wood surfaces. Their versatility, precision, and ease of use make them a great choice for a variety of woodworking projects, from sign-making to furniture making.
